Topics discuss:
1. group agrees to uniform option unanimously. advised one year
rental will be between $50-$55. for those that are in group
again next year it will be much lower. have confirmed that it
will be $50 for each of you. Please bring uniform rental fee to
practice no later than 1 week from today. Casey, you will be in
charge of collecting all the uniform funds, place all money in
an envelope, once you have collected it all, we will verify and
I will take it from you. I will then take the money and make an
immediate payment for the uniforms.
2. Everyone will sign a uniform contract before receiving your
respective uniform. Anybody that does not return their uniform
in by the agreed date and in respectable condition will pay full
price for the uniform, less the $50 rental fee.
3. Palomar league money will be collected by Kevin, $40 per
player. due to need of moving the uniform money to top of
priority, we will allow two weeks to turn in this money. Kevin
you will do the same as advised to Casey for collecting the
funds. We will have a little a bit of money in excess, after I
pay for the league I will give left over money to Mr Dimler to
hold and apply towards future tournaments. I will pay the league
fees ahead of time.
4. I am considering registering us as an AAU team for a number
of reasons. Among them it gives us the flexibility to play in a
sanctioned event. But there are costs involved, such as a team
cost, coaches becoming members and the of course each player.
will review options with Mr Dimler when he returns, it also
insures us if we practice somewhere, among other benefits. will
advise as we move forward.
5. Last night we reviewed the 3/2 or CB zone? players absent
were Illouise, Luke, Brandon. Anil, you walk through with
Illouise before next practice, Casey you review with Luke, Devon
you review with Brandon. My suggestion is for you and your
partners to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to walk through.
6. Last night we walked through and discussed all the cuts that
we will run off motion sets. The players paired above in #5 will
be responsible for the same partners. Cuts and terminology are
as follows.
a. California
b. Maryland
c. Utah
d. Duke
e. Dallas
f. Banana (may change terminology)
we may add a few more, but I want to insure we have the basics
first. also, when teaching do not forget to discuss the change
we make in our motion to insure the effectiveness of the cuts.
Also as explained we give names/terminology so nobody knows what
cuts we are talking about, but almost all of them were made easy
to remember for reasons shared last night. We are no where need
ready to run motion, it is why I thought we could take advantage
of spring break to at
next, we will discuss additional change in the motion formation,
to run some isolations.
7. Lastly we discussed everyone needs to complete the simple
player profile that Illouise sent out 3 days ago, that should
have been completed already. Submit them all back to Illouise by
tonight. If you don't, your profile will not go on our web site.
Illouise, just sent them to me once you have them all. You must
all be better at responding to requests that I sent through
Illouise, for those poor responders you will be the next to be
responsible for getting/submitting information, it's tough to
do, respect his time and effort.
8. Also, please remember. Participating in games is a reward for
all of your hard work. I really don't have the time, but I know
it will be invaluable to all of you. You are in no way, shape or
from obligated to play in events. the most important part is
what we do on our normal scheduled days. If you don't want to
attend games, simply send me an email advising me of that. It's
that simple.
This is a great example of will be on our web site. For now,
share all this info with your parents. I have concerns not all
of you communicate as clearly with your parents as you should
be. So, print it, have them read it, and at the very least
forward to them so they have clear understanding of what we have
discussed as a group.
that's all for now.
